Coaching for Juniors:
The development of junior athletes has always been a major part of the FTP Training mission. New and emerging talent needs the right guidance and direction to not only achieve results, but, to develop a sport for life attitude and have fun while getting fitter and stronger. With a background in teaching the junior development plans offer an integrated approach to fitness and fun and look to develop process driven goals and not rely on a result focus. By working on the development of specific skills and processes junior athletes thrive and have fun while learning and getting fitter, the byproduct of this is they become AWESOME. From the very first day of business FTP Training has offered scholarships to local athletes in the Shoalhaven area to offer help and support to local junior athletes. FTP Training is also involved in sponsoring the Motion MTB Team as well as The 2Wheel Academy. At FTP Training we are focused on sport for life and helping to develop the next generation of cycling super stars and the athletes of the future.

Our coaches have been trained by the one and only self-confessed Frothmeister, Mark Fenner. They are all aspiring individuals who hold themselves in a high regard and have respect for themselves and others. Apart from the physical aspects of an FTP Training program, our coaches offer their advice and stories as a form of mentorship for their athletes. Athletes learn about all facets of life associated with setting goals, working hard and developing a passion.
We don’t solely focus on the physical side of riding, we also explore the aspects of developing routines, setting achievable goals, understanding and listening to your body, balancing multiple commitments and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Cycling is a passion that is interconnected with life in a number of ways, and we Froth it!

1:1 Coaching Packages
Training programs come with a 3 month minimum commitment (paid monthly). Programs go month to month following the first 3 month commitment.

What’s the main difference in levels?
The main difference is coach interaction & added features. The higher the level the more coach contact hours you have per month. Higher levels also come with added features like data reviews.
Our most popular training program is the silver program – it gives a massive amount of value + heaps of coaching contact for cycling #frothers.
What if I ride in different disciplines? (e.g. MTB & Road)
We offer coaching not only within each discipline, but also across disciplines. e.g. Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Enduro, etc. Simply purchase a 1:1 coaching package in the discipline that you ride in most, & let your assigned coach know so we can target both type of riding styles in your training.
How many hours do I have to train?
We’re firm believers of training smarter, not just harder. It all depends on what you want to get out of your cycling – but we recommend at least 5-6hrs a week to see some measurable progress.
Can I change training levels?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time if you require more interaction with your coach, and you can move down after your first 3-month commitment.
How custom are the training programs?
All programs are custom made per rider based on your questionnaire responses. Depending on what level you purchase determines how much ongoing customisations are made, but they're 100% made for you.
What gear do I need?
At a minimum – a heart rate monitor & a cycling head unit.
We prefer using a power meter over a heart rate monitor – but both can work.
We can accept: MasterCard, VisaCard, and PayPal. Payments are charged automatically each month. A subscription for a minimum of 3 months is required. You can cancel any time after 3 months. Just notify your coach to change your coaching package.
