Training Camps for 2010

FTP/Torq's next training camp will be held in September 2010.  There will be a separate male and female camp in cabins (6 days each) located in Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands.  Ridng will be around the Highlands area and in beautiful Kangaroo Valley (when the fog lifts!)  There are some world class trails around here and some great flat recovery road rides and plenty of mountainous road rides to explore.  This will be a challenging camp but we are keen to accomodate various abilities.  A minimum standard of fitness marker would be if you have competed in a few 100km races already.  If you are entered into the World 24 hour Championships attending this camp is a must to optimise your chances of being your most competitive and obtaining your best results.

A FREE goodie bag with all your Torq nutritional needs for the week will be provided for you on arrival along with some other goodies such as some bum butter (Aussie Butt Cream).  We will have the availability of PowerTap wheels (both road and mtb) to use for free if you choose to take this up (please indicate on booking form).  We will also then have these on offer to buy at a reduced price at the end of the week if you choose to do so.

Also on arrival we will be testing you to assess your fitness level with great State of the Art equipment which will determine your maximum power and your functional threshold power.

Most nights we will have a Physiological/Nutritional/Training seminar on offer to increase your knowledge on all these subjects with an open question time.

The facilities include outdoor swimming pool, BBQ area and Tennis Courts (just in case we havent tired you out enough on those hard training rides)!  All food will be provided including catering for special diets.

There are a few private room options or shared bunk bed options at differing prices (see booking form for details).

We also have massage available by an ex British Olympic Physiologist and Masseuse, every night at an incredibly reasonable rate of $60 per hour or $30 for half an hour.  Please fill in the booking form and send back to us with your deposit to secure a spot.  Please note - all FTP clients have had first refusal on places on these camps - so space is limited.  If you are keen to join us on our fun but professional training camps - please don't delay or you may be disappointed.  Thank you!
